Press, Breathe, Emerge: Acupressure for Liver Support This Spring
Spring is the season of renewal—and in Traditional Chinese Medicine, it’s also the time to support the Liver, the organ responsible for smooth energy flow and emotional balance. When Liver Qi gets stuck, we can feel irritable, tense, or sluggish.
The good news? A few minutes of focused acupressure can help release some of that stagnation, take the edge off, and restore your natural rhythm. Below, we’ll guide you through two simple points to press, breathe, and gently emerge into balance this season.
How does it help?
The acupressure points move stagnant Qi, reduces stress, and supports detoxification.
What are the Points to try?
Liver 3 (“Tai Chong”)
Located between the big toe and second toe, in the soft spot before the joint. Press gently but firmly for 1–2 minutes.
Gallbladder 34 (“Yang Ling Quan”)
On the outer lower leg, just below the knee. Great for moving Liver Qi and easing tension.
What are the Spring benefits of these points?
Relieves irritability, digestive issues, and muscle tightness — all signs of Liver Qi stagnation.
